Services & Capabilities
What types of projects do you handle?
We provide surveying and consulting services for:
- Powerline and utility corridors
- Mine-site and industrial facilities
- Heavy-civil and transportation infrastructure
- Commercial, municipal, and land development
- QA/QC verification, as-built, and volume surveys
Our crews have the experience and equipment to handle both high-volume and remote projects anywhere in Canada.
Do you offer UAV or 3D scanning services?
Yes. We provide UAV-based aerial surveys, orthophotos, and 3D point cloud models for volume calculations and progress tracking. All data is processed in-house to ensure accuracy and consistent QA/QC.
Can you integrate with our project systems?
Absolutely. We work with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, ESRI GIS, and other common formats. If your organization uses a custom template or data standard, we’ll adapt deliverables for seamless integration.
What areas do you serve?
We operate Canada-wide, including remote and northern locations. Whether you’re managing a transmission rebuild, mine-site expansion, or infrastructure upgrade, our crews can mobilize quickly to support your schedule.
Do you provide layout/staking as well as as-builts?
Yes. We regularly perform construction layout/staking, as-built verification, and volume/quantity surveys, all delivered with clean layers and clear references for immediate use.
Who will be my point of contact?
You’ll work directly with our project leads, not a call center. We keep communication clear and responsive from quote to close-out.
Process & Deliverables
How does your quote process work?
- Send your project scope, location, and timelines via our Request a Quote page.
- We review logistics, confirm access, and prepare a detailed, transparent quote.
- You receive pricing with deliverables and mobilization details.
- Once approved, our crews mobilize, often within 24–72 hours.
How fast will I get my deliverables?
For most projects, QA/QC reports are available the next day after field completion. Larger or multi-site projects may require additional time, but you’ll have a clear delivery schedule from the start.
What deliverables do you provide?
We produce clean, industry-standard files in your preferred format, including:
- Civil 3D drawings (.dwg)
- Trimble Business Center (.vce)
- PDF reports and plan sets
- GIS shapefiles or GeoJSON
All deliverables are QA/QC checked and properly layered for immediate use.
Can I request revisions to deliverables?
Yes. If a drawing, coordinate file, or report requires adjustment, we’ll revise it promptly. Our goal is 100% accuracy and client confidence before project closeout.
How do you ensure accuracy?
Every deliverable goes through our QA/QC workflow, including control checks, closures, and review by senior staff. We document assumptions and references to make downstream use straightforward.
Can you follow our layer standards and naming conventions?
Yes. Provide your CAD/GIS standards with the quote request and we’ll align layers, blocks, and file naming to match your requirements.
Logistics & Safety
How quickly can your crews mobilize?
In most cases, within 24 to 72 hours, depending on site location and project scale. We maintain ready-to-deploy equipment and experienced crews across multiple regions to minimize lead times.
How do you handle travel, lodging, and meals?
If a camp is not provided, we bill actual hotel and meal costs, with no markup. All expenses are itemized in your quote and final invoice.
Are your crews safety-certified?
Yes. Every team member follows a COR-certified safety program and maintains all necessary client and site-specific certifications. We uphold a zero-incident mindset and a culture of respect on every job site.
Do you carry insurance and compliance coverage?
Absolutely. 3D Surveying and Consulting maintains comprehensive liability insurance, WCB coverage, and compliance with provincial and federal safety standards.
Can you access remote or restricted sites?
Yes. Our teams are experienced with remote access planning, permits, and coordination with site operators to meet safety and environmental requirements.
